Basic Tools

Okay, first things first! Tools are obviously very important, and although its okay to buy cheaply, buying TOO cheaply will only mean that as you progress with your abilities you will have to replace your equipment later on. I highly suggest buying decent kit if you intend on being even only slightly serious about your hobby.

1. Soldering Iron
2. Helping Hands (with magnifying glass if you like to be exact!)
3. Wire (various)
4. Multimeter

Now obviously there are various bits and bobs which are required for general work here, but I’m not going to list them all… Things that spring to mind are:

• Solder - which should be 60/40 Resin Core solder
• Razor Knife and Sharp Blades
• Patience
• Common Sense
