Soldering Iron

As a beginner its not imperative to have a flashy temperature controlled soldering iron, but if you consider that you may want to do something more than just make looms with it then maybe have a look at buying a soldering station.
They aren’t THAT expensive and you will find them so much easier to use.

This model is an Antex M12, cheap as chips!!! Its got a small-ish point but not too small (making looms would be such a pest if it was too small!) It doesn’t come with a stand, so one should be purchased separately - the stand comes with a sponge for cleaning the point (obviously you have to wet it first else you’ll just burn it!)
