A Simple Audio Amp

This is a simple to make, quick audio amp. You can mount it on an adaptor loom if you so wish! Here’s the details:

Parts:

  • LM380
  • 10K potentiometer
  • 2.7ohm resistor
  • 250uF 16V Capacitor
  • 0.1uF Capacitor X 2
  • Optional - Stripboard to mount it on
  • Optional - 14 pin DIL socket

You can interpret this however you wish to build it, I know some people who just glue a DIL socket onto an edge connector and have all the parts connected together from that part (having a socket is useful in case the amp should ever fail, then its easily replaced!) I prefer to keep things neat myself and mount the amp on a piece of stripboard I then mount the whole thing onto the JAMMA fingerboard.
